Members of the ‘Pembrokeshire – I LOVE IT!’ Facebook group are frequently asking for ideas of things to do when visiting our beloved county. This might just be the longest, most comprehensive list of things to do in Pembrokeshire on the internet and we hope it helps answer those questions. This list below currently contains 84 things to do in Pembrokeshire.

But we’re not finished yet – we have some grand plans for this page and soon we hope to put all this information into an interactive map, so you can see what’s where! Check back regularly and you’ll see some big improvements.

Milford Haven Museum

Milford Haven Museum is a maritime and heritage museum. Opened in 1991, it has a heavy focus on the maritime history of the town, with exhibitions which explore the fishing and oil industries in the area.

Tenby Museum & Art Gallery

Tenby Museum and Art Gallery is the oldest independent museum in Wales. Established in 1878, the Museum has a collection of local geology, biology, archaeological and maritime artifacts.

The Welsh Wildlife Centre

An adventure playground, giant willow badger, picnic areas, fabulous trails for all abilities and all kinds of activities on site. A wonderful nature reserve, the giant reedbed and the hidden gorge just cry out to be explored.

Upton Castle Gardens and Medieval Chapel

One of Pembrokeshire’s hidden gems and a must for gardening enthusiasts or anyone wanting to experience real peace and tranquillity in 35 acres of listed historic gardens.

Falcon Boats

Milford Haven Golf Club

Milford Haven Golf Course is 18 holes of rolling parkland running along side the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, par 70 and 6,067 yards long. A Hidden Welsh Gem – as described by Golf Monthly.

Ian Heaps - Premier Fisheries and School of Angling

Set in beautiful surroundings this magnificent fishery is a relaxing place to enjoy a quite sport on their lakes or the river. No booking needed, just turn up and fish!

Bosherston Lily Ponds

An easy walk around Bosherston’s beautiful lily ponds, with options to explore the dunes and pools of the Mere Pool Valley behind Broadhaven beach. This walk is rich in wildlife all year round.

Skomer Island

The numbers of visitors to the island is carefully managed to prevent erosion and to control the impact of people on the wildlife. Landing tickets are strictly limited to a maximum of 250 per day on a first come first served basis.

Colby Woodland Garden

Colby’s hidden wooded valley is full of surprises. With an industrial past and a secret garden, it’s the perfect place for heritage hunting and natural play.

Hilton Court Gardens & Crafts

Housed in an old Victorian courtyard and surrounded with stunning gardens, Hilton Court is the ideal destination for some retail therapy, sample great food or simply somewhere to relax.

Priskilly Forest Country House & Golf Club

Set in 400 acres, Priskilly Forest is surrounded by rolling farmland, an ancient forest with Bluebell woodland walk and attractive golf course. 

St David's Cathedral

Since the 6th century there has been a church on this site.  For the past 1500 years prayer and worship has been offered to God on a daily basis which continues to this day. 

Carew Castle

Carew Castle and Tidal Mill’s rich history spans over 2,000 years and tells of knights of the realm, kingmakers, Elizabethan intrigue and Civil War devastation.

Pembroke Castle

Pembroke Castle has a long and fascinating history, for it was around 1093 that Arnulf de Montgomery built the small inner bailey standing at the end of the promontory.

Manorbier Castle

Perched upon the cliffs, in the heart of the village, the Castle occupies a commanding position overlooking the beautiful Manorbier Beach.

Cilgerran Castle

Uncover nearly 800 years of history at the magnificent Cilgerran Castle. This striking 13th-century fortress is perched overlooking the spectacular Teifi Gorge.

Picton Castle & Gardens

Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home. Forty acres of some of the most beautiful woodland gardens and grounds in West Wales. A magical day out for all the family.

Lamphey Bishop's Palace

Lamphey’s palatial grounds are mainly the work of the dynamic Henry de Gower, bishop of St Davids from 1328 to 1347. The bishops used Lamphey as a country retreat, an escape from the burdens of Church and State.

Llawhaden Castle

Llawhaden’s unconventional mix of military and decorative features reveal its main purpose in life: that of a fortified mansion more than out-and-out castle, designed as a residence for the wealthy bishops of St Davids who liked their home comforts.

Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber

The giant 16½ft/5m ‘capstone’ appears to be precariously balanced on three ‘uprights’, though it has remained in place for over 5,000 years.

Narberth Castle

A rectangular castle with towers on each corner but, unfortunately, not much remains today. The most fascinating thing about Narberth Castle are the legends that are attached to it.

Scolton Manor

Scolton Manor is a Victorian country house and country park located in Pembrokeshire, West Wales northeast of Haverfordwest and on the borders of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Built as a home, it is now a museum and is a Grade II* listed building.

Castell Henllys

Travel back in time over 2,000 years to experience life in the Iron Age. A programme of events from craft demonstrations to children’s activities to guided tours are held throughout the year. Winter opening is at a reduced level of entry.
